Problems with changes to the electronic OSAGO policy

Let's try to look at an example of the amount of surcharge for adding a new driver to an existing mandatory electronic document.

Let’s say you need to add a new driver aged 21 and 3 years of accident-free driving experience to the insurance of a 30-year-old car owner with 4 years of accident-free driving experience. The base rate is 6,000 rubles.

The annual calculation of the cost of insurance for a car owner will be:

6,000 (base rate) * 1 (PIC) * 0.8 (KBM) = 4800

Calculation of the cost of the policy for the year:

6,000 (base rate) * 1.6 (FAC) * 0.85 (KBM) = 8160

In this case, the difference in the cost of insurance will be 3,360 rubles, and the additional payment for the person included in relation to the base rate will be 2,160 rubles.

You should also take into account the insurance period that remains at the time a new person is added to the insurance contract.

Let’s say you need to enter it for 5 months – from March 15 to August 15. Converted to days it turns out to be 153.

Then the amount of the surcharge must be divided by 365 and multiplied by 153.
