How much is permissible tinting of front windows?

Fine for tinting in 2019

Good afternoon, dear reader.

This article will talk about the features of car tinting in 2019 and 2020, as well as possible penalties for applying tinting film to the glass.

In addition, we’ll talk about permitted tinting, which can be used legally without fear of fines.

Allowed tint in 2020?

So, first, let’s look at what kind of car window tinting is allowed in 2019:

Width of tint strip on windshield

The first question that quite often interests drivers is the maximum width of the tinting strip on the top of the windshield. For passenger cars it is 14 centimeters .

Using film with 70% light transmittance

The second popular question is whether the driver will be fined for tinting if a film is applied to the windshield and front side windows, the light transmittance of which is exactly 70 percent.

To answer this question, one should take into account the fact that the light transmission of glass even in a new car does not reach 100 percent.

Let's look at an example. If the light transmission of the new glass is 95 percent, and the tinting film is 70 percent, then the final light transmission is calculated by the formula:

0.95 * 0.7 = 0.665 i.e. 66.5%

In practice, it does not matter whether a film is glued to the glass that transmits 70 percent or transmits 5 percent of light. Both options are the same violation and carry the same penalty.

Permitted tinting of front windows

Tinting the windshield and front side windows in itself is not prohibited. In this case, the only condition that must be taken into account is that the light transmission of tinted glass must be more than 70 percent .

In this case, you can try using a film with a light transmission of 85 to 95 percent.

Note. If you want to be sure that the tinting complies with current legislation, then after gluing the film, check the light transmission with a special device. Car service centers that specialize in working with car glass usually have such devices.

How to get permission to tint?

There is a common myth among drivers that in Russia it is possible to obtain a special permit for tinting , which allows you to tint your car with any film you like. The legislation does not provide for anything like this.

Note. If you see a tinted car on the street, this does not mean that its driver has a special permit. Most likely, the driver simply did not have time to get caught by the traffic police.

Fines for car tinting

In 2020, for illegal tinting of car windows, a driver can only be fined in the amount of 500 rubles (Part 3 1 of Article 12.5 of the Administrative Code).

Note. The specified fine can be paid with a 50 percent discount.

The size of the fine for tinting does not depend on how much light transmission the car’s windows have, nor on how many glasses the tinting film is applied to. In any case, it is 500 rubles.

In addition to the fine, traffic police officers may issue an order to remove the tint.

Note. Until November 15, 2014, traffic police officers could remove license plates from a car for tinting, but in 2020 this type of punishment is not used.

What happens if.

. remove the tint immediately after being stopped by a traffic police officer.

If you remove the tint film immediately after the car is stopped by a traffic police officer, a fine for tint will still be imposed on the driver, because The fine is a punishment for driving a car with insufficient light transmission. In this case, driving takes place until the moment the car is stopped.

. remove the tint immediately after the fine is issued.

If the driver removes the tint immediately after the traffic police officer draws up a resolution to impose an administrative fine, then he will be able to avoid repeated penalties for the same violation. If the tint is not removed, then the next time the traffic police stops the driver will receive a new fine. The number of fines is not limited.

. use removable window tinting.

Removable window tinting does not protect the driver from fines. However, its use will allow you, if necessary, to quickly clear the glass and avoid repeated fines for the same violation.

Finally, I suggest you watch a video in which the tint film is removed using water vapor:

If you wish, you can repeat this procedure and clean the film from your car windows yourself.

Permitted tinting according to GOST 2019

⚡️Glass tinting allowed according to GOST in 2019. What is the light transmittance of the front and rear windows according to GOST? Are mirror and athermal tinting allowed?

Glass tinting, GOST

The operation of a car on the territory of the Russian Federation is regulated by a wide range of documents, including Federal laws, traffic rules, articles of the Administrative Code, Technical regulations of the Customs Union, government decrees, Presidential decrees and various GOSTs.

If we talk about tinting, then the key value for understanding the limits of permissibility should be sought in GOSTs.

Tinting according to GOST 2018 - how is it? Many sources indicate GOST No. 5727-88 as the basic GOST for tinting, but in 2015 it was replaced by the new GOST 32565-2013 and this is important to know.

Front side windows tinting 2019

The key parameter of GOST that has not changed is the light transmittance of the front side windows of the car. It should not be - not lower than 70%. If we take into account that the missing thirty percent of light transmission is reduced due to the properties of the glass and factory tinting, it turns out that according to the law it is impossible to additionally tint the glass. The entire shading reserve provided by GOST is spent already during the creation of the car. The fine for tinting is small, 500 rubles. and there is a 50% discount on it (we write about this in a separate article), however, it can be issued as many times as desired, and in some cases, the vehicle’s registration will even be canceled for tinting.

You can try to fit the tinting of the front side windows of your car into GOST using the so-called removable tinting. This type of tinting involves the production of soft tinted inserts adhesive to the car windows from the inside. When checking, the removable tinting is removed and the readings of the light transmittance measuring device remain applicable.

Windshield tinting 2019

GOST requirements for windshields in 2018 are even higher than the requirements for front side windows. Here the minimum transparency is allowed at 75% (5% more transparent than in the case of side windows). The remaining 25% play goes to the factory darkening and material features. In 2018, the windshield of a car, as well as its front side windows, cannot be tinted. Any paint or film will reduce the light transmittance of the drain to a level prohibited by law. An exception for the windshield is made only for the narrow top strip. According to GOST, it is permissible to tint the top of the windshield.

Rear window tinting 2019

According to GOST in 2018, any tinting of the rear window and rear side windows is acceptable. Traffic police officers never check her. Even if the rear windows are covered with a completely opaque film, this is not a reason for a fine, it is not a violation of the law. You can darken the rear windows in any way you like.

Acceptable glass tinting 2019

Russian laws, including the Administrative Code, allow glass tinting. There is nothing illegal in the fact of tinting. It is only important to darken the car windows according to the rules with an eye to GOST.

You can tint the car's rear windows and rear side windows to an opaque state. Complete opacity of the rear hemisphere is not considered illegal.

The 70%/75% rule applies to front windows. Based on it the light transmittance of the side and front windows should not be less than 70%, and the windshield less than 75%. In addition, GOST allows an opaque strip at the top of the windshield.

Mirror tinting

The use of mirror (reflective) film is not directly prohibited in the Code of Administrative Offences. However, in accordance with the rules of the “Technical Regulations on the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles” adopted by all countries of the Customs Union, mirror film is not allowed on cars.

The ban on the use of mirror tinting applies to both the front and rear windows of cars. The limitation is due to the reflection of headlights by mirror surfaces. It is believed that large mirror areas on cars can distort headlight beams, confuse the driver and lead to an accident.

The practice of applying the ban on mirror tinting differs depending on the regions of Russia.

Athermal tinting (“Chameleon”)

There are many types of “athermal” tinting, but in Russia this type of protective coating is more often called “hamillion”. “Athermal” tints, unlike classic tint films, do not darken the glass, but only prevent part of the sunlight spectrum from penetrating into the glass.

Modern manufacturers of automobile glass most often take into account the “athermal” factor in their glasses, making them greener. You can add “athermality” using additional films. One caveat - front windows with films should transmit 75/70 percent of light. This GOST indicator in the case of “athermal” films is quite achievable.

Advantages of “athermal” films:

  • Reducing heating of the car interior
  • Fuel savings with air conditioning
  • No burning effect of interior materials

Fines for incorrect tinting 2019

Measuring tinting according to GOST in 2019 is carried out only in a stationary post, by a traffic police officer with proven competencies and in compliance with a fairly strict bureaucratic procedure.

You need to understand that in fact, tinting is allowed in Russia - at least 100% for the rear, at least 25% for the front. However, de facto gluing something on the front is illegal in 99% of cases. After all, what kind of tinting is allowed according to GOST is what the traffic police officers check.

The fine for tinting in 2018 is 500 rubles. With a discount for urgent payment within 20 days, the fine amount will be 250 rubles.

In some cases, traffic police officers, instead of a fine, issue the motorist an order to eliminate faults. In this situation, the next meeting with a traffic police officer may result in the cancellation of the vehicle registration.

What car window tinting is allowed in Russia?

Gradually but steadily, on Russian roads the old order is being replaced by new rules that are more in line with world experience. Permitted car tinting, which continues to be a popular tuning option, is no exception.

Today, according to the law, the President and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation can drive in a fully tinted car. For other citizens, tinting the windows in their cars operated in Russia must be carried out in accordance with certain rules.

What tinting is allowed on the windshield and other car windows: we understand the standards

Until the beginning of last year, the requirements for tinting (more precisely, for light transmittance) of auto glass were contained in GOST 5727-88 “Safe glass for land transport.” Four changes have been made to it since the early 90s. The last of them came into force in 2002. It established the following requirements for light transmission of auto glass:

  • The light transmission coefficient of windshields of vehicles and trams should not be less than 75%.
Note 1: The windshield at the top could have a light protection strip. GOST 5727-88 contained a formula for calculating its width. Usually it turned out to be no wider than 15 cm, but the formula took into account, in addition to the work of the wipers, also the boundaries of regulatory zones, as well as viewing angles for the driver under different driving conditions.
  • light transmission of non-window glasses included in the so-called. the “standard field of view P”, in particular of the front door glass, should not be less than 70%;
  • The light transmission of other non-window glasses is not standardized.

From 01/01/2015, the new GOST 32565-2013 came into force under the same name. What is the permitted tinting of front windows in 2019? GOST 32565 somewhat relaxed the requirements for the value of their light transmission coefficient, lowering its lower threshold from 75 to 70%. This change legitimizes the practice of tinting windshields with clear or colored athermal films, which has been very popular in recent years (see below).

The requirements of the new GOST for the light transmission of windshields are also duplicated in the technical regulations of the Customs Union (CU), which came into force in the Russian Federation in February 2015, called “On the safety of wheeled vehicles.” What is the permitted tinting of front windows in 2019 according to this document? Their minimum light transmission is set to the same 70%, i.e. the new GOST and technical regulations of the Customs Union have been agreed on this issue.

The new GOST and CU technical regulations contain another innovation regarding windshields. They set the maximum permissible width of the shading strip for them at 140 mm (for categories M 1 , M 2 , N 1 ), and the light transmission of the strip is not standardized.

What percentage of tinting is allowed for non-windshield windows by these regulations? Firstly, the new GOST divided all vehicle glass into two categories:

  • category 1 – glass providing forward visibility to the driver;
  • Category 2 – glass that provides rear visibility to the driver.

Both of these categories are divided according to a geometric principle. On the driver's seat, the manufacturer must indicate (in a coordinate manner) the so-called. "point R". If a vertical plane is drawn through it, perpendicular to the longitudinal median plane of the car, then its glass that is in front of the vertical plane will belong to category 1, and the glass that is behind it will belong to category 2.

According to the new GOST and technical regulations of the Customs Union, the light transmittance of glasses of categories 1 and 2 must be at least 70%, i.e. no worse than windshields. However, if the car has two external rear-view mirrors, then the light transmission of category 2 glass is not standardized.

Note 2: Traffic regulations allow the use of curtains on bus windows, as well as blinds and curtains on the rear windows of passenger cars equipped with two (right and left) exterior rear view mirrors. It turns out that you can have a completely curtained (and tinted) rear window.

Why has the permitted percentage of tinting on front windows been reduced in the new GOST?

The light transmission coefficient of even new auto glass never reaches 100%, and at best it is 85%. Let the light transmittance of the tint film be 75% (a fairly common indicator), then the final light transmittance will be:

0.85 x 0.75 = 0.6375, i.e. 63.75%

It turns out that such a film could not provide the required light transmission according to the old GOST 5727-88 not only for the windshield, but also for the front door glass.

The highest light transmittance of new (not used) tint films is in the range of 80-90%. It turned out that their use on windshields was obviously illegal according to the old GOST, because:

  • usually a new windshield has a typical light transmittance of 80-85%;
  • after several years of operation, the coefficient decreases to 75-80%.

A light transmission coefficient exceeding 75% can only be achieved with the maximum values of the coefficients of new glass (85%) and new film (90%):

0.9 x 0.85 = 0.765, i.e. 76.5%.

In reality, this value is practically unattainable (at least, it is rare). Typically the resulting film-to-windshield system ratio is below 75% but above 70%. That is why the new GOST 32565-2013 lowered the lower limit to 70%.

Today, the answer to the question: “Is tinting front windows allowed?” is more likely positive than negative. If a measurement of the light transmittance of the windshield + tint film system, carried out at a car service center or by a traffic police inspector, gives a reading above 70%, then there is no reason to punish the driver and demand that the tint be removed.

The same can be said about the tinting of the front door windows. In order to accurately comply with the new GOST, they should also be tinted without reducing the resulting light transmittance below 70%. The rear door windows and rear windshield can be darkened as desired without fear of punishment.

Permitted tinting of car windows: what is allowed and what is not?

The adoption of the new GOST has finally legalized the tinting of car windows with films, since it contains a definition of safety glass with a polymer coating, although the word film is not used.

What kind of tinting is allowed in the Russian Federation? Any that complies with GOST 32565, technical regulations of the Customs Union and traffic rules. Today you can tint your car windows yourself, either by spraying or using films from the outside or inside the car.

A separate question is whether mirror tinting is allowed? The new GOST does not directly prohibit it, however, the technical regulations of the Customs Union in clause 4.5 establish that the mirror effect created by the coating of auto glass is unacceptable. The ban imposed on it by the regulation dating back to 1993, which contained the procedure for admitting vehicles to operation, has not been removed from the DSLR either. After all, driving behind a car with mirror tinting on the rear window is sometimes simply dangerous - the reflected light is blinding.

Although the light transmission coefficient of the rear windshield and rear door windows is not standardized, it must be remembered that a film with a light transmission of less than 60% begins to noticeably “mirror”. Therefore, it is better to use a more transparent film with additional curtains.

Athermal tinting: allowed or not?

It is known that without tinting, neither the climate control system nor the air conditioner often helps, the driver and passengers feel like they are in an oven, their mood drops, especially if your car is overtaken by a tinted jeep. In general, without dark glasses, just nowhere.

By the way, in the state of California, tinting has become a mandatory attribute of all cars for four years now. Car windows are tinted with special metal inclusions that reflect the sun's rays as much as possible. As a result, the following positive phenomena take place:

  • The car interior does not overheat,
  • motorists turn on air conditioning less,
  • accordingly, fuel consumption is reduced,
  • harmful emissions into the environment are reduced.

But what about light transmission? After all, shaded glass obviously will not provide a light transmittance higher than 70%. It turns out that a solution has already been found, and it is called “athermal” tint film. It has a high transmittance of visible light - a coefficient of about 90%, however, it strongly affects the ultraviolet and infrared part of the spectrum of the incident light flux. This tinting has the following positive aspects:

  • the interior does not overheat and does not fade from bright sunlight;
  • The “windshield + athermal film” system has a light transmission coefficient of about 80%, i.e. obviously comply with the new GOST;
  • At night, the driver will not be blinded by the headlights of oncoming cars;
  • the glass has an attractive appearance with a shimmer;
  • From the outside, the interior is less visible than without tinting.

It should be emphasized once again that athermal tinting does not attenuate the visible part of the incident light. Therefore, it will not be possible to shade the back seat of a car using it. You can't do without curtains on the rear windshield and rear door windows.

Is athermal tinting allowed in the Russian Federation? After the release of the new GOST, we can confidently say that yes, it is allowed. After all, in paragraph 3.4 it contains a definition of the so-called. “safe light-heat-protective glass” with a polymer coating that can attenuate the infrared part of sunlight. What is this if not athermal tinting?

A type of athermal, but with a variable degree of reflection of thermal and UV radiation (more intense in bright sun, weaker on a cloudy day), is the so-called. chameleon tinting. Is it allowed or not? The answer is clear. If the light transmission coefficient of the glass + chameleon film system is not lower than 70%, then everything is in order, the traffic police should have no complaints.

Conclusion

Summarizing all of the above, you can answer the question: “What tinting is allowed according to GOST in 2019?”, give the following answer - any tinting that complies with GOST 32565-2013 and the technical regulations of the Customs Union is allowed, except for those that create a mirror effect.

What tinting is allowed according to GOST for front and windshields, fine for violations

The purpose of tinting is to reduce visibility of the car interior and reduce exposure to sunlight.

Today, according to the law, only two people in our country can have a fully tinted car:

For other persons, restrictions are provided, which are perhaps the most discussed issue among motorists. Violation of the established rules is fraught with penalties. You should take a closer look at what the fine for tinting is foreseen in 2019.

Acceptable tinting

The new tinting law allows the use of any shading that meets:

  • Standards of GOST 32565.
  • Technical regulations of the Customs Union.
  • Traffic rules.

Mirror dimming, although not prohibited by GOST, is unacceptable according to technical regulations.

Drivers who decide to tint their vehicle should familiarize themselves with the established rules. The following tinting is regulated according to GOST:

  1. The rear window of a car is allowed to be tinted at your discretion.
  2. There are also no restrictions on tinting the rear side windows.
  3. Partial tinting of the windshield is allowed. It can be covered with a transparent film, the light transmission of which complies with accepted standards (at least 70%).
  4. The tint strip is glued to the windshield at the top. Its maximum permissible width is 14 cm. There are no restrictions on light transmittance.
  5. Tinting the front windows is the application of a transparent film on them, the light transmission level of which is more than 70%.

The motorist can tint the vehicle himself using a special material or spraying.

What is the punishment?

Having figured out what tinting is allowed, you need to familiarize yourself with the punishment for violating the rules. This year, non-compliance of tinting with established standards is fraught with sanctions:

  • Imposition of a fine for tinting in the amount of 500 rubles. (Article 5 of the Administrative Code).
  • Since November 2014, the inspector has no right to remove license plates from vehicles as punishment for improper tinting (changes in the Administrative Code).
  • Request for tinting.

Any employee of the State Traffic Inspectorate, not only a technical supervision officer, can verify the adequacy of light transmission.

The amount of the fine for tinting is a constant value and does not vary depending on the light transmission or the number of tinted windows.

The car owner receives the order for tinting along with a formalized resolution imposing a fine. The main requirement of the document is to remove the tint film within a specified period (10-14 days). If the conditions are not met, the driver may be detained for 15 days as a punishment.

Important nuances

Those who are planning to tint their car windows must first evaluate the light transmittance of the material itself. Usually this indicator does not correspond to 100%. In combination with 70% film, the level of light access into the car interior during the day may be less than expected. The latter means that the front side windows should not be tinted with the specified film. Otherwise, during inspection, the car owner faces a fine.

Athermal film

In the hot season, you can hardly go anywhere without darkening the windows. The car interior gets so hot that even using air conditioning does not improve the situation. The optimal solution in this situation is permitted tinting, the role of which is performed by athermal darkening.

Its light transmittance is approximately 90%. At the same time, infrared and ultraviolet rays, passing through such darkness, are significantly weakened. Athermal film has the following advantages:

  • No overheating of the vehicle interior.
  • In combination with the windshield, the light transmittance of such tinting is about 80%, which complies with all accepted standards.
  • At night, the driver will not be blinded by the headlights of an oncoming vehicle.
  • From the outside, the interior of the car is visible an order of magnitude worse than without any film at all.

The visible part of the incident light rays will not be weakened. This means that for rear windows it is better to use a different tinting option or the one indicated, but in combination with car curtains.

Some drivers, after being stopped for tinting their front windows, remove the film in the presence of an inspector. The purpose of these manipulations is to avoid imposing a fine, which is impossible in principle. The only thing a car owner can count on is the absence of repeated sanctions for the same violation.

Permitted tinting of car front windows according to GOST for 2019

Tinting is a method of darkening windows to limit visibility from outside and prevent large amounts of sunlight from entering the interior. A special coating prevents the car from overheating from the sun. However, excessive tinting of windows is contrary to the laws of the Russian Federation and is punishable by a fine. The latest window tinting law came into force on January 1, 2017. What the prohibitions are and what tinting is allowed will be discussed in the article.

Requirements for car window tinting

The essence of the new law is to regulate the level of light transmission of tinted glass.

GOST divides car glass into two types.

  1. Front view glass.
  2. Rear view glass.

There are certain permitted tinting ratios:

  • windshield tinting – 75%;
  • tinted side front windows – 70%;
  • unlimited tinting of rear windows with viewing mirrors;
  • The upper part of the windshield can be tinted without restrictions, but not more than 140 mm.

The law does not prohibit the use of curtains and blinds for rear windows in the presence of mirrors.

How to check the light transmission of car windows

The level of light transmission of glass is checked using a special device - a taumeter. It is worth noting that when checking the tint, the police officer must follow a number of rules.

  1. Light transmission is checked only at stationary police posts.
  2. The test cannot be carried out during rain and high air humidity from 45 to 80%.
  3. You can only check on a clean and dry surface.
  4. For reliability, you need to check in three different places.
  5. Before monitoring light transmission, the law enforcement officer must measure the level of atmospheric pressure, which should not exceed 795 mm.
  6. Only a police officer with a special mark on his license can check the tinting of the glass.
  7. The taumeter must have certificates and a seal.
  8. When measuring tint, the air temperature should not exceed 25 degrees.

Some motorists believe that checking cannot be done at night, but this is not true. In fact, there is no time limit; you cannot check the windows only in dirty and slushy weather.

Penalty for incorrect tinting

Every driver should know the smallest details of imposing a fine for improper tinting of a car in order to be able to protect himself from illegal actions on the part of traffic police officers.

  1. A fine is imposed only upon violation of GOST rules, regardless of the degree of violation.
  2. “Removable” tinting in the form of curtains and blinds on car windows does not exempt the violator of GOST on tinting from a fine.
  3. The law adopted in 2016 states that if a fine is paid within 20 days from the date of the decision on punishment, it is reduced by 50%. The law also applies to other motorist violations.
  4. The level of light transmittance of the film is indicated without taking into account the factors that influence changes in these parameters, because after applying tinting to the glass, its light transmittance may decrease significantly. With prolonged use of the film, it is rubbed off by the wipers, which also worsens the light transmission parameters.

Previously, the use of incorrect tint was punishable by removal of the license plate and a ban on its use until the violation was corrected. Currently, such measures are not used, however, it is necessary to adhere to the law.

There are certain restrictions on the frequency of imposing fines. It is important to pay attention to the fact that the police officer, when drawing up a report, indicates the exact date and time. The law does not allow another fine for tinting to be issued less than 24 hours after the previous one. If 24 hours have not passed and the driver is stopped by another law enforcement officer, he must be presented with the existing protocol.

Only a court can impose additional penalties in the form of a fine or arrest. If you disobey the law and drive a car with incorrect tint after receiving a fine, the court may rule on deprivation of your license.

The fine for tinting front windows according to GOST in 2019 is 1,500 rubles. For repeated violation - 5,000 rubles. You can try to prevent a fine from being issued in the following ways.

  1. The tint can be removed right in front of the police officer, thereby avoiding fines.
  2. If, while checking the level of light transmittance, a police officer violates at least one of the above rules, he must be informed. In case of non-compliance with the rules for tinting control, the decision can be appealed in court.
  3. If the police report is completed incorrectly, you must immediately inform the officer about the error. There is a chance that the law enforcement officer will not draw up the document again and will release the driver.
  4. Ways to legally tint car windows.

Ways to legally tint car windows

Recently, the concept of polymer coating has become legal, so glass can be tinted either using film or using special spraying. What tinting is allowed on front windows? It can be anything, it is only important to observe the light transmittance of the glass.

Darkening by applying a special coating is not very popular among motorists because it is short-lived and often of low quality. A thin layer of metal is applied to the surface of the glass without vacuum conditions. Such window tinting has a mirror effect and is similar in appearance to factory tinting, which is permitted by law; this advantage allows you to reduce the nagging of traffic police officers.

The most popular are athermal tints that meet the requirements. There are mirror tinting and “chameleon” tinting. Mirror tinting is not prohibited by law, but as required by technical regulations, the presence of a mirror effect on a car is not recommended. This requirement is aimed at avoiding accidents associated with such tinting.

The car ahead may reflect headlights in the glass, which will distract the driver and impair control of the car. The light transmittance level of mirror tinting should not be lower than 60% to avoid the appearance of a mirror effect.

There is also an athermal “chameleon” tint. This type is considered safe because the light transmittance of films is usually at least 80%, which does not contradict the requirements of the law on tinting. When choosing a “chameleon” tint, you need to make sure of its quality; a good film does not contradict GOST.

Athermal tinting of front windows has become in great demand due to a large number of advantages:

  1. Does not reduce visibility. This tint is completely transparent, green or purple shades may appear.
  2. "Chameleon" reduces the heating of the car from the sun's rays and prevents parts of the car's interior from burning out.
  3. Thermal coating reduces the operation of the air conditioner, thanks to reliable protection from excess sunlight entering the interior.
  4. This method of darkening glass does not contradict the requirements of GOST, which allows you to protect yourself from prying eyes without fear of a fine.

You should not save on the tint coating, because only a high-quality film will have all the advantages listed above.

A new trend in car glass coating is electrochromic tinting. A similar species appeared in Russia relatively recently. It is worth noting that such tinting is very expensive, its cost reaches 80 thousand rubles. Therefore, this film is used only on expensive cars. There are two types of electrochromic tinting: regular - Smart, and self-adhesive - Smart Glass. “Smart” film has an important drawback - darkening on both sides, i.e. It's just as hard to see inside the car as it is outside.

Fans of deep tinting can tint the upper part of the windshield without restrictions, but the size of the coating strip should not be more than 140 mm.

You should not break the law to increase your own presentability. This desire will lead to unpleasant extra expenses, and even to the deprivation of a driver's license. In addition, improper tinting increases the risk of an accident, which puts your life and the lives of others in danger. When installing additional coating on glass, you should take into account the requirements of GOST and choose a more modern and high-quality film.

Good tinting will save you a lot of money and prevent your car from overheating in the sun.
